About My Plants
Each year I propagate a selection of plants from my private collection
here at the nursery and make them available mail order to the public.
All of them are taken from my own stocks: I do not sell imported
specimens of dubious origin, so all my plants are guaranteed to be true
to type. All are British-grown specimens and none are forced in a
greenhouse, so they are already thoroughly adapted to our climate. The
nursery here is completely free from the invasive species Crassula
helmsii (New Zealand
Pigmyweed/Australian
Swamp-stonecrop) and Azolla. Each plant will be sent to you as a bare-root specimen. "Bare root" means that the plant will have any pot removed and the soil washed off its roots before sending, because it would be too heavy to send pots and soil through the post. Leaves may also be trimmed, depending on the size of the plant. The plant will be sent in a box (not just in a jiffy bag) for protection. Please note that plants may not be in flower at the time of sending.
Plants can be delivered through the post to your door, or alternatively collected in person from the shop on a pre-arranged date. A selection of established, potted plants is also available from the shop. Please note, prices for these may vary from the prices quoted here for bare-root specimens.
