| This year marks a change to the way I will be operating
the water garden nursery. I no longer have a retail display area at the
shop, as there was simply not enough space to offer a full selection of
my plants. Instead, customers anywhere in the UK can now order their
water garden plants online from me through this web site. The plants can
then be delivered by post, or alternatively collected from the shop
premises at a pre-arranged time. More details can be found
here |
| |
| In order to undertake this change it is necessary to
restructure the nursery a bit, so I will not be able to offer the full
range of plants from my collections for a while. More varieties will
be added as things progress. Please check
here
for new additions. |

There're back! Spotted Petricola cats. (Synodontis
petricola) £11.95 or 5 for £49.95
At last I have a good stock of these
little beauties again. These are the perfect community catfish,
growing to no more than about 10cm. Eventually that is, as they are
rather slow growing. The only thing they do require is alkaline
water, which is no problem, Essex tap water does them fine.

| Three great new tank bred cats this week |
| |
| Firstly an almost totally black corydoras originating
from Venezuela, Very striking! |
| |
| Secondly for those who like something a little different
on the bristlenose front, I have orange marbled ones (LDA 16) |
| |
| Lastly, one I have been trying to get for
ages.......Starlight bristlenose, as the name suggests these are jet
black, covered with tiny white spots. |

| Three lovely new fish this week! |
| Firstly a new species of white cloud from Vietnam (Tanichthys micagemmae) |
 |
| This is a smaller species than the common white cloud, only growing
to around 25mm. It also comes from a more tropical region, so is
actually better suited to the average community aquarium. |
| Next a spotted form of the Burmese Danio kyathit |
 |
| This is a wonderfully marked Danio, which it time will develop the
orange fins of the striped form. It grows to around 5-6cm. |
| And last but not least, a lovely dwarf spotted Danio again from
Burma. |
 |
| As far as I know this species hasn't yet been given a scientific
name , its currently going by the name of Danio species Burma. This
species is one of the smallest Danio's, growing only to around 25-30mm.
Great little fish ideal for the smaller planted aquarium. |
